Design of a minimally processed juice added with micro and nanocapsules of folic acid and its use as vehicle for ingestion in Wistar rats

Micro- and nanocapsules of folic acid were obtained and added in minimally processed pineapple juice.
Designed juice maintained its quality during 10 days storage.
Designed juice with folic-acid-capsules was used as hydration diet in an experimental model using Wistar rats.
Consumption of juice resulted in significant increases in plasma hemoglobin concentration and higher rats'growth.
Von Bertalanffy model was evaluated to describe models body weight and length data during rats'growth.
