This work considers the stabilization of third-order unstable linear time-delay systems.
In particular it is considered systems with one unstable and two stables poles, which can be complex conjugate.
Necessary and sufficient conditions are stated in order to stabilize the system by static output feedback.
In this way, a predictor scheme it is proposed with the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of this stabilizing scheme.
The performance of the proposed strategie is evaluated by its aplication to an Unstable Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor.
