STABILIZATION OF THIRD-ORDER SYSTEMS WITH POSSIBLE COMPLEX CONJUGATE POLES AND TIME DELAY

  • This work considers the stabilization of third-order unstable linear time-delay systems.

  • In particular it is considered systems with one unstable and two stables poles, which can be complex conjugate.

  • Necessary and sufficient conditions are stated in order to stabilize the system by static output feedback.

  • In this way, a predictor scheme it is proposed with the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of this stabilizing scheme.

  • The performance of the proposed strategie is evaluated by its aplication to an Unstable Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor.
