  • A one-zone thermodynamic model for biogas fueled internal combustion engines is validated.

  • The presented model uses relationships for the combustion process that allows it to be used by low experience users.

  • The model is capable of accurately predicting the in-cylinder pressure for biogas fueled engines as shown.

  • The model is valid for engines working under different fuel-air ratios as shown.

  • The model is capable of calculating the trends for the NOx formation for different fuel-air ratios and different CO2 concentrations in fuel.
