Briefly, these duties are for:

Authors: are responsible for the accuracy, objectivity and truthfulness of the information contained within the article. The published information should be entirely original work, or when using the work or words of others, to appropriately cite or quote them. Copying or paraphrasing substantial parts of another’s paper, or claiming results from research conducted by others, is plagiarism, which is unacceptable. They should abstain to publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in other journals. They should not submit concurrently the same article to different journals.

Editors: must evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content, without regard to other issues. Choose adequate reviewers, experts in the topic of the manuscript, whom are expected to return an unbiased evaluation of the work. All submitted manuscripts should be subjected to the greatest confidentiality, and avoid disclosing information to anyone except the corresponding author, reviewers (actual or potential), other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate. They should recuse themselves from managing manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest. They shall inform the authors about the decision taken.

Reviewers: must contribute to the editorial decision by conducting an objective and prompt evaluation of the manuscript. They must express their views clearly with supporting arguments. All manuscripts received must be treated as confidential documents. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript, privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.

Publishers: must ensure that any action taken by them, has no impact or influence on editorial decision.
